Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on, growth-oriented Senior Backend Engineer to join our Technical (Foundation) Cluster — the team responsible for core architectural services and internal tools used across the company.

You will work closely with other senior engineers, engineering managers, and technical PMs to evolve our systems, deliver robust solutions, and uphold high standards of engineering as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

- Own key services and shared components: design, develop, and operate them in production.

- Shape architecture: break monoliths into well-bounded modules, improve scalability and performance, manage technical debt.

- Raise the bar on code quality and reliability through thoughtful design reviews and refactoring.

- Drive improvements in observability, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and security hardening.

- Collaborate with PdM, Staff Engineers, and CTO to translate business vision into a robust technical foundation.

- Share knowledge: mentor mid-level developers, document best practices, and present learnings internally.

- Contribute to hiring and onboarding by participating in interviews and supporting new hires.

Position Requirements:

• 5–8 years of professional backend development experience  

• Proven experience designing and shipping systems used by thousands  

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, caching, queues, monitoring, and failure handling  

• Comfortable taking ownership end-to-end: from RFC to rollout and post-mortem  

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain trade-offs and build consensus  

• Passion for clean, readable code and technical excellence
