Recently, they acquired a scanner application from another company, integrating it into their ecosystem. The goal is to understand its structure, maintain it, and eventually extend its capabilities.

Project Overview

The company has recently acquired a software solution and is building a dedicated team to maintain and enhance it. Currently, the team consists of one developer and a DevOps engineer, with plans for further expansion.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Knowledge Transfer activities to understand the existing solution and document findings for future team members.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to support the application infrastructure.
• Handle support and development tasks to improve the application and its integration with other proprietary systems.

Technology Stack

• Backend: Ruby (Pure Ruby)
• Other Programming Languages: Python, Go (nice to have)
• Infrastructure: General backend development & deployment, fault-tolerant systems
• Networking: Strong knowledge of networking and networking patterns
• Security: Security-conscious design and implementation

Position Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with pure Ruby technologies and tools.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining fault-tolerant backend solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when implementing solutions.
• Solid understanding of networking and related patterns.
• Awareness of secure software development practices.
• Good spoken English.
