Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Ruby Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will work on Workato API Team Management (Access Permissions), Lookup Tables, and the RLCM Logging Service.
This position involves a combination of complex backend development, cutting-edge application platforms, and conversational user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Build complex Ruby on Rails applications
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
- Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Team:
12 senior-level backend engineers
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years of commercial Ruby on Rails development experience
- In-depth knowledge of Ruby
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm complexity, memory management, etc.
- Understanding of database principles (PostgreSQL)
- English level B2 or higher

Interview Stages:
1st Stage β Introductory meeting with HR (~30β45 minutes): discussion of candidateβs experience, background, and general technical questions
2nd Stage β Technical interview with the team (~1.5 hours): deep-dive technical questions and a practical task
3rd Stage β Technical interview with the hiring manager (~2 hours): advanced technical discussion and a hands-on task
4th Stage β Final stage (~30β60 minutes): could be a cultural fit conversation or additional technical discussion, depending on the candidate
