Job Description:

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer, you will maintain and enhance the Vehicle Hub SaaS platform in close collaboration with the Engineering and Product teams. You will take ownership of complex problem spaces, work across the full software stack, and contribute to the platform’s security, stability, and scalability, aligned with our strategic product goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and expand the feature set of the Vehicle Hub platform;
• Enhance, refactor, and maintain existing SaaS components;
• Determine suitable technical approaches for complex problem spaces;
• Ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and have effective automated test coverage;
• Conduct code reviews and take ownership of implemented solutions;
• Manage development tasks from assignment through release;
• Assist in backlog grooming and refinement of issues;
• Provide technical expertise and day-to-day support to the engineering team;
• Identify and address system enhancements, technical debt, and UX improvements;
• Update software dependencies, maintain application containers, and manage deployments;
• Monitor infrastructure performance and ensure platform availability.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails;
• Proficiency with RSpec, JavaScript (native/jQuery), HTML, CSS, HAML/SASS/SCSS;
• Experience maintaining and operating a production Rails SaaS application;
• Strong knowledge of scalable REST API development in Rails;
• Experience in agile development environments and collaborative workflows with Git/GitHub;
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (e.g., AppSignal, New Relic);
• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform);
• Cloud infrastructure deployment, provisioning, and monitoring;
• CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions;
• Containerization (Docker and orchestration tools);
• PostgreSQL administration and Active Record migrations;
• Experience with Hotwire (Stimulus) and ETL processes;
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe);
• Background in the automotive industry.
