Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby) to join our Engineering team. You will be part of one of our product teams, responsible for developing our cutting-edge applications and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your primary focus will be backend development, alongside people management and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

Lead backend development for our applications, focusing on high-quality software solutions.

Mentor and manage junior team members.

Collaborate with product and design teams to ideate and implement new product features.

Oversee the architecture and development of APIs.

Tackle DevOps and infrastructure challenges as needed.

Our Stack:

Ruby, with a focus on dry-rb/rom-rb.

PostgreSQL (advanced SQL knowledge required).

JavaScript and/or TypeScript, with React or React Native as a bonus.

Google Cloud for cloud computing.

GraphQL API development experience is a plus.
 

Position Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a backend engineer.

Proficiency in Ruby.

Experience with cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud).

Advanced SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL).

Comfortable handling DevOps tasks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong business and user understanding, with a user-centric mindset.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with React or React Native.

Experience in GraphQL API development.

Ability to work effectively with a diverse, global team.
