Team develops a mobile and web application that uses flashcards in combination with spaced repetition to help people study any subject imaginable. People use app to study materials for school, university, work or their personal interests (the majority of the audience are medical students and people who are learning languages).

It is a profitable company from the very early days and they are growing fast every month. The product is about a year on the market and has about 10,000 users per month.

Technical team combines the latest technologies, best design principles, and constant product research to build not just an app, but a sophisticated platform where people create communities, help each other, and achieve their study goals. Right now it is a remote team of 9 people mostly located in Europe time zone (London/Poland/Belarus/Georgia).

Job description:
Now the team is looking for a proactive Ruby on Rails developer, who not only develops new features and fixes bugs but also suggests improvements on the codebase level as well as on the product and company level.
They are a team with strong beliefs on work/life balance, ownership, and respect.

Team also uses modern technical stack:
• Ruby on Rails 7, PostgreSQL, React Native/React and want to move to S3.

You will be part of a strong and independent team, it is a great opportunity to upgrade your skills and work with senior tech leader with background in Facebook.

Position requirements:
• strong knowledge in Ruby&Rails and SQL;
• good expertise in Infrastructure and deployment (S3/google cloud/Azure or etc);
• your English allows you to feel comfortable communicating in it (verbal and written) the whole working day, it is very important.

Working conditions:
• compensation in different currency (usd/euro/pound), which is discussed individually with each candidate and is based on his expertise;
• fully remote work, giving you a possibility to work from anywhere in the world with flexible hours (focus on EU time zone);
• no tracking systems and overtimes;
• colleagues formalize their employment relationship on a contractual basis. If you live in Russia, you will need a foreign account;
• contract with individual entrepreneur or other form;
• there is a trial period, but the conditions are no different (2 or 3 monthes).
