Job description:
We are looking for a VP Engineering to join our international team. Female applicants encouraged to apply.
The VP Engineering will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the CTO, and lead a growing team of engineers. Corporate finance or related Fintech experience is a big plus, but not a requirement. We’re seeking an experienced software engineer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects across the entire stack. Our ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design,implementation, and deployment;
- Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale;
- Mentoring and coaching engineers and technical leads;
- Work with and manage freelance contractors as needed to assist in getting projects done;
- Create and foster an environment conducive to innovation, high productivity, and high quality;
- Provide leadership to development projects that improve the functionality, reliability, scalability, and security of the company’s applications and systems;
- Ensure sound architectural designs are implemented and advocate for best practices and processes;
- Create a strong internal culture to manage agile technology projects, adherence to deadlines, and strong communication to stakeholders;
- Work in partnership with internal functional teams as a technology partner in forwarding business capabilities.
 

Position requirements:
• 4+ years of technical experience;
• 3+ years of experience leading software development teams, including remote/offshore;
• Proven dynamic leader of a scale-up or high growth organization;
• Corporate Finance experience is a major plus;
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application;
• Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards);
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming;
• Solid understanding of database systems such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB;
• Ability to clearly communicate high-level strategy and technical details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including to senior leadership;
• Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and build a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment;
• Proven Track record with multiple tech stacks;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• The firm root cause analysis skills: you find the problem AND the solution.
 

Working conditions:
• Fair Salary based on your experience, qualifications and skills starting from 80k+ (excl. VSOP);
