Job Description: 
Railsware is expanding its team and seeks a talented Ruby Developer to contribute to both our proprietary products and client solutions. Key projects include:

• Mailtrap.io: Our leading product in secure email testing, serving over 1 million users.
• Coupler.io: A tool for importing data to streamline workflows between systems.
• Calendly: A widely-used scheduling tool.
• BrightBytes: A platform providing data-driven insights for school improvement.
• OfficeSpace: Facility management software trusted by top companies in Silicon Valley.

Our technology stack is diverse, and we often experiment with new technologies such as Elixir and Go in production. Thus, experience with multiple languages and frameworks is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Develop end-to-end products.
• Write reusable and maintainable code.
• Write tests to ensure code correctness.
• Identify and collaboratively solve problems.
• Work with a cross-functional team to meet business objectives and compliance standards.
• Operate within a flat organizational structure.

Position Requirements:

• Strong general programming skills and the ability to handle complex codebases.
• Extensive knowledge of Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and related testing frameworks.
• Experience with JavaScript applications using modern frameworks.
• Practical experience with various databases (e.g., RDBMS, Key Value/Tuple Store, Wide Column Store, Document Store).
• Experience with cloud hosting providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean, Heroku).
• Proficiency with the UNIX/Linux command line.
• Experience with test-driven development and pair programming (desirable).
• Ability to lead projects and work independently.
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

Interview Stages:

Call with HR: An initial call to discuss general questions and provide details about the company, team, and processes.

Technical Task: A 3-hour online test covering SQL, Ruby, and JavaScript.

Pair Programming Session: A 1-hour session to work collaboratively on a coding task.

Ruby Session: A 3-hour deep dive into Ruby programming to assess skills and problem-solving abilities.

JavaScript (React) Session: A 3-hour session focused on JavaScript, particularly React, to evaluate expertise in front-end development.
